Georgia, Armenia Have Close Economic And Political Ties - Economy Minister

“Georgia and Armenia have close economic and political ties,” the First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Levan Davitashvili told reporters during his visit to Armenia.

According to Davitashvili, “collaboration and ties between the two nations have progressed to the point of strategic partnership.”

“Armenia is one of Georgia’s most important economic partners. It is the fourth-largest trading partner. It is expected that trade turnover will rise this year as well. Georgia is also a major transit hub for Armenian cargo, as well as a popular tourist destination. Armenia is one of Georgia’s most important tourist markets,” said the vice prime minister.
