Georgia–Armenia Trade Reaches $308M in 4 Months: What Georgia Imports from Armenia

Trade turnover between Georgia and Armenia reached $308 million in January–April 2026, marking a 36% increase year-on-year. Both exports and imports grew during the period, with Armenia ranking as Georgia’s seventh-largest trading partner, accounting for a 3.8% share of total trade. Georgia maintains a positive trade balance, although imports from Armenia grew at a faster pace than exports.

During the reporting period, Georgia imported around $114 million worth of goods from Armenia. A significant share of imports came from manufacturing products, but raw materials also played a major role, including copper ores and concentrates worth $64.2 million and precious metal ores worth $13.4 million. Other notable imports included glass bottles, electric power, chocolate products, cut flowers, cigarettes, grapes, and various plastic and food items.

Exports from Georgia to Armenia reached $194 million, up 25.5% year-on-year. The largest export categories included passenger cars, oil and petroleum products, and alcoholic beverages. Machinery such as bulldozers and excavators, soft drinks, pharmaceuticals, citrus fruits, and aluminum products also featured among the top exported goods, reflecting a mix of re-exports and domestically produced items.

Overall, the data highlights strengthening trade ties between the two countries, with expanding flows in both industrial raw materials and consumer goods.
