Thirty foreign nationals have been deported from Georgia, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The agency reported that as a result of recent comprehensive measures, citizens of India, Turkey, Iran, Turkmenistan, Egypt, Bangladesh, Russia, Belarus, Iraq, Jordan, and Lithuania — a total of 30 individuals — were expelled from the country. In line with current legislation, those deported have also been banned from reentering Georgia.
The ministry emphasized that the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is the body responsible for combating illegal migration within the country. One of its functions is identifying foreign citizens residing in Georgia without legal grounds and carrying out their deportation.
