According to the National Bank of Georgia, the country earned $1.97 billion in international tourism revenue in the first half of 2025, marking a 3.8% increase compared to the same period last year.
During this time, 2.81 million foreign visitors entered Georgia—4.6% more than in the first half of 2024. The average spending per visit was $701.
The largest share of tourism revenue—$308 million—came from Russian visitors, who made 581,000 visits and spent an average of $529 per trip.
Visitors from EU countries spent the most per person, averaging $1,371 across 202,000 visits. Tourists from Israel topped the list in terms of individual spending, averaging $1,412 per visit.
In contrast, average spending was lower for visitors from Armenia ($169) and Turkey ($484).
