Georgia’s Economy Minister Mariam Kvrivishvili visited the Eagle Hills – Belgrade Waterfront development in Belgrade, hosted by Serbia’s Minister of Domestic and Foreign Trade, Jagoda Lazarević, and the project’s General Manager, Zorana Burlic.
According to the Ministry, Belgrade Waterfront is a major urban redevelopment project jointly implemented by Eagle Hills (68%) and the Serbian government (32%). It includes residential, commercial, hospitality, educational, and recreational spaces, forming a new modern center for the city.
Kvrivishvili highlighted that Georgia recently signed a significant agreement with Eagle Hills for a $6.6 billion investment, making Serbia’s experience crucial. She noted that the Belgrade project currently amounts to €4 billion and shares many components with the future Georgian development.
She added that Serbia has seen substantial benefits: around 25,000 new jobs created and an estimated €9 billion economic impact. The Georgian delegation also toured the project showroom and the company’s headquarters in a restored 1907 historic building in central Belgrade.
