Giorgi Zakarashvili has been appointed as Georgia’s new Ambassador of Ukraine.
Zakarashvili was the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Georgian Interests Section at the Embassy of the Swiss Confederation in Russia in 2016-2019 , while in 2007-2011 he held the position of Senior Advisor there.
Giorgi Zakarashvili was the Head of the Central Asian Relations Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia In 2011-2012.
Former Director of the Political Department of Georgian Foreign Ministry Zakarashvili worked in the Global Relations Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia in 2007.
At various times Zakarashvili has worked at the CIS and Peaceful Caucasus Affairs State Bureau. He also worked at Tbilisi City Hall.
