Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated during a joint briefing in Tbilisi with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze that economic cooperation between Georgia and Armenia continues to deepen, grounded in long-standing ties between the two countries. His visit coincided with the 15th session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.

Pashinyan highlighted the tourism sector as one of the strongest areas of collaboration, noting that Georgia remains a favorite destination for Armenian tourists, while the number of Georgian visitors to Armenia is also rising. He described this mutual growth in travel as a positive trend for both nations.

He also emphasized that the strong political friendship between Georgia and Armenia directly contributes to cooperation in culture, sports, and economic development. This, he said, helps strengthen people-to-people connections and create broader opportunities for collaboration.

Pashinyan expressed gratitude to the Georgian government for its support in the Armenia–Azerbaijan peace process, noting that Georgia’s involvement is helping both countries establish economic relations. Representatives from both sides also discussed bilateral, regional, and international issues, identifying several areas with significant potential for future cooperation.
