Georgia has joined the Declaration of the European Political Community Summit adopted by the leaders convening at Blenheim Palace, the United Kingdom.
The document encompasses several key directions that are especially important for European security, also energy security and connectivity.
The leaders of about 50 countries of the world expressed support for the document denouncing Russia's Shadow Fleet and its consequent threats.
The final document also reflects the proposal of France and Moldova to create the European Political Community's network against foreign interference and disinformation manipulation.
The document reads that foreign interference and information manipulation pose a strategic challenge to the member states of the European Political Community (EPC). Consequently, in light of direct threats facing democratic processes, and to bolster public resilience, it is necessary to ensure deeper and faster operative coordination among European states.
The Summit's Declaration also reflects the Georgian side's proposal to strengthen the ties of the Black Sea and Caspian Sea regions, as part of which the EPC countries located in the North Sea and the Baltic Sea regions will hold a series of dialogues with Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania, Bulgaria, and Turkey in order to boost the energy ties of the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea regions. The main goal of the dialogues will be to utilize ways for sharing the relevant countries' experience, resources, knowledge and expertise, so that the EPC member Black and Caspian Sea countries may tackle challenges related to regional energy ties and use their energy potential toward clean energy generation.
