The Municipal Development Fund under the Ministry of Infrastructure has launched a competition for the design of a new local food retail space in the village of Badiauri, Sagarejo municipality. The project is valued at GEL 797,850.
According to the ministry, the modern trading area will be built near the new Sagarejo–Badiauri 17-km highway and its transport junction. The facility is intended to allow local producers to sell goods in a safe, organized environment and generate stable income.
The site is located near the village of Badiauri in Gurjaani municipality, about 50 km from Tbilisi, adjacent to the new highway. The total area covers 9,241 square meters.
The project must include commercial and production zones, pavilions, storage units, kiosks, parking facilities, as well as public restrooms and full infrastructure for security, lighting, electricity, water supply, and sewage systems.
Officials say the new space will support local product promotion and create a modern business environment that meets safety and infrastructure standards.
The Sagarejo–Badiauri highway section is expected to be completed in 2026.
