As of October 23, 2025, 330,000 tons of grapes have been processed in Georgia, marking the largest harvest in 30 years, according to the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture. The harvest was cultivated by 21,200 winegrowers across the country.
In Kakheti, the country’s primary grape-growing region, a total of 323,000 tons have been processed, including approximately 170,000 tons of Rkatsiteli and 134,000 tons of Saperavi, with the remainder consisting of other grape varieties. Active harvesting continues in Sagarejo Municipality.
The harvest is also underway in Lechkhumi, particularly in Tsageri Municipality, where local residents are delivering grapes to wine companies without delays. So far, companies have received about 112 tons, with the total harvest expected to reach 1.4 thousand tons this year.
Meanwhile, harvesting has concluded in Racha, where a record 3,000 tons of grapes were collected and fully stored, further highlighting this year’s exceptional yield
