Georgia’s Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture David Songulashvili, together with State Service of Veterans Affairs Director Koba Kobaladze and Turkish Ambassador Mustafa Türker Arı, delivered agricultural machinery to veteran farmers in Imereti.
A total of 20 hand-held tractors were provided with support from the Turkish International Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and the State Service of Veterans Affairs. The machinery is intended to support veterans’ farming activities and help expand their agricultural operations.
Songulashvili thanked Türkiye and TİKA for their support, saying the initiative reflects continued cooperation between the two countries. He also emphasized the government’s focus on agricultural development and support for small and medium-sized farmers, including improved access to modern machinery.
The partnership between the State Service of Veterans Affairs and TİKA dates back to 2017. Since then, the two sides have implemented several projects supporting veterans in areas including agriculture and healthcare.
