The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has updated its World Economic Outlook. According to the document, in 2021, Georgia's GDP per capita will increase by USD 533 compared to the previous year and will reach USD 4,807. With this indicator, Georgia is on the 106th place among 196 countries in the world and is among Iraq and Moldova.
At the same time, according to the IMF, in 2022, Georgia's GDP per capita will increase by another USD 489 and it will reach USD 5,297.
In 2019, before the pandemic, Georgia's GDP was USD 4,693, but as a result of the 2020 economic crisis, it fell by USD 418 to USD 4,275.
