Georgia remains among the world’s leading countries in mobile internet speed, ranking 17th globally according to the Speedtest Global Index June 2026 data.
The country’s median mobile download speed stands at 156.3 Mbps, allowing Georgia to outperform many European countries. However, the picture is different for fixed broadband internet, where Georgia ranks 107th out of 149 countries with a median download speed of 50.8 Mbps.
Neighboring countries perform better in fixed broadband rankings, with Azerbaijan ranking 84th at 92.2 Mbps and Armenia 85th at 91.7 Mbps.
Globally, the fastest mobile internet is recorded in the United Arab Emirates, with a median download speed of 760.93 Mbps, while Singapore leads fixed broadband rankings with 447.75 Mbps.
