Georgia ranks 107th out of 149 countries for fixed broadband internet speed, according to the Speedtest Global Index data for June 2026.
The country’s median download speed for fixed internet stands at 50.8 Mbps. In comparison, neighboring Armenia and Azerbaijan record significantly higher speeds, at 91.7 Mbps and 92.2 Mbps, respectively.
Georgia is also behind countries such as Mongolia (85 Mbps), Kyrgyzstan (89 Mbps), and Algeria (81 Mbps) in the global ranking. The worldwide median fixed broadband download speed across 149 countries is 129.7 Mbps — around 2.5 times higher than Georgia’s figure.
At the same time, Georgia performs much better in mobile internet rankings, where it holds the 17th position globally.
