Over the past week (July 24-31), the number of new cases of coronavirus infection in Georgia has exceeded eleven thousand and reached 11,802.
Ten case of coronavirus-related fatalities have been reported during this period. Number of recoveries was 10 233, reads an updated data of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health (NCDC) of Georgia.
According to the NCDC, a total of 76 309 tests were administered. Positivity rate stood at 15.47% for the last seven days.
Georgia's capital Tbilisi is still the epicenter of the spread of coronavirus. The number of infected is distributed by region as follows: Tbilisi - 6005; Imereti - 1,458; Adjara - 1,382; Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 737; Guria - 579; Shida Kartli - 423; Kakheti - 388; Kvemo Kartli - 334; Mtskheta - Mtianeti - 218; Samtskhe-Javakheti - 139; Racha-Lechkhum-Kvemo Svaneti - 139.
