Georgia reported 2 800 coronavirus cases, 1 485 recoveries, and 42 deaths on Tuesday, the official figures show.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 882 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 572 cases, and the Kakheti region with 409 cases.
A total of 33 679 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 23 554 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 10 125 were PCR tests.
The daily test-positivity rate stands at 8,31%, while 5,51 % in the past 14 days.
Georgia’s total case tally reached 621 420, among them 593 153 people recovered and 9 110 died.
There are 34 people quarantined, 4 025 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 597 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are placed at the government-assigned facilities.
As of October 5, 1 826 786 people got the Covid-19 vaccine.
