Georgia reported 24 616 coronavirus cases, 18 221 recoveries, and 54 deaths on Tuesday, the official figures show.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 11 801 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 3 382 cases, and the Adjara region with 2 187 cases.
A total of 73 251 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 53 616 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 19 635 were PCR tests.
The daily test-positivity rate stands at 33, 61%, while 28, 31 % in the past 14 days.
Georgia’s total case tally reached 1 350 454, among them 1 124 442 people recovered and 15 300 died.
There are 43 people quarantined, 6 082 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 1 897 asymptomatic and mild symptom patients are placed at the government-assigned facilities.
As of February 8, 2 755 879 people got the Covid-19 vaccine, with 4 023 in a day.
