Georgia reported 2,739 coronavirus cases, 3,072 recoveries, and 52 deaths on December 22, the official figures show.
45,153 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 28,160 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 16,993 were PCR tests.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 1,246 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 437 cases, and the Adjara region with 204 cases.
Georgia’s total case tally reached 916,477, among them, 869,411 people recovered and 13,221 died.
The daily test-positivity rate stands at 6,07%, while 6.19% in the past week.
There are 35 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 5,488 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 1,001 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
Currently, out of 1,350 critical patients, 313 require mechanical ventilation.
As of today, 2,414,722 people got the coronavirus vaccine, with 13,878 in a day.
