Georgia’s economic ties with Singapore remain relatively limited but have shown growth in trade, particularly in exports, as Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili and Economy Minister Mariam Kvrivishvili visit the country for official meetings with government and business representatives.
According to trade data, bilateral trade turnover between Georgia and Singapore amounted to $28.4 million in January-June 2026, compared with $35.2 million in 2025.
Trade relations reached their highest level in recent years in 2022, when turnover totaled $50.5 million. After declining to $30.6 million in 2023, trade recovered in 2024, reaching $39.6 million.
Exports from Georgia to Singapore
Exports account for nearly half of Georgia’s trade turnover with Singapore. In the first six months of 2026, Georgia exported $14.1 million worth of goods to Singapore — a 108% increase compared with the same period of 2025, when exports stood at $6.7 million.
The largest export item was oil and petroleum products, with exports totaling $11.9 million.

Imports from Singapore
In the first half of 2026, Georgia imported $14.3 million worth of goods from Singapore, down 10% year-on-year.
The main imported products were:
- Air conditioning equipment – $4.9 million
- Computers and computer units – $2.2 million
- Semiconductor devices – $1.6 million
- Vaccines, blood products and immune preparations – $1.5 million
- Packaged medicines – $798.8 thousand
Tourism links
Tourism flows between the two countries remain small. In the first quarter of 2026, Georgia recorded 316 visits from Singapore, while the second quarter saw 530 visits.
The 2025 tourism figure was a record year, with 2,688 visits from Singapore. The highest quarterly figure was also recorded in the second quarter of 2025, when 950 visitors arrived.
For comparison, in pre-pandemic 2019, Georgia received 2,020 visits from Singapore.
Foreign investment and remittances
According to official statistics, Singapore’s direct foreign investment in Georgia is currently recorded at zero.
However, remittances from Singapore have been gradually increasing. Transfers reached:

- $345.7 thousand in 2025
- $383.3 thousand in the first half of 2026
