Interest in pistachios is growing in Georgia as well. Otar Anguridze, President of Georgian Pistachio Association notes, that Georgian Pistachio has great potential in the country and abroad due to its quality.
"It has been about 5 years since the popularization of this culture in the country. Pistachio gardens are growing every year and in about 3-4 years Georgia will have pistachios of local production. If we compare pistachios with other walnut crops, we can say that Georgian pistachios have a great perspective on the world market. Georgian fruit has special taste due to the good climate and water, which increases its competitiveness on the world market," - said Otar Anguridze.
