"It is impossible for any citizen to board or disembark from an international airport on any airline in an illegal manner," reads a statement issued by Georgian Airways.
The airline made this comment in response to a flight from Dubai that carried Giorgi Bachiashvili, the former head of the Co-Investment Fund.
Additionally, the airline emphasizes that details regarding flights arranged by private individuals constitute personal information, which is protected by law. As such, the company is not authorized to disclose this information.
"Georgian Airways operates charter flights commissioned by private individuals and other entities at least three to four times a week. These flights are coordinated through the airline’s commercial department. Information concerning such charter flights is classified as personal and is legally protected. Therefore, the company is not permitted to make it public.
We want to state unequivocally that no individual can board or leave through an international airport via any airline in an illegal manner. Multiple relevant authorities oversee these procedures, and any such allegations are entirely unfounded," the statement concludes.
