Vanrik Agro Group blueberry production company expects the sales in United Arab Emirates (UAE) to double in 2017, the Businesscontract news agency reports.
Interest in Georgian blueberry in UAE surged in 2016, but the company reserves have run out and blueberry exports to UAE was suspended, the company manager noted.
The company chief engineer Vladimer Urushadze told the Business Contract that Georgian blueberry is in much demand, as picking season starts later because of climate conditions. When blueberry reserves end on the global market, Georgia is able to supply product to customers.
Georgian blueberry exports to UAE started in 2016.
