Georgian Brand “Cosmo” Expands to Telavi with 10th Branch

The Georgian handmade bag and accessories brand Cosmo is continuing its regional expansion with the opening of a new branch in Telavi, its 10th location nationwide.

As revealed by Sophie Mukhulishvili, co-founder of the company, during an appearance on BMGTV’s Women's Narrative, the decision to open in Telavi was driven by strong demand from local customers.

“We are already present in three regions, two branches in Batumi and one in Gori. Telavi will be our fourth regional location, and the decision was largely based on customer requests,” Mukhulishvili said.

The new facility, set to open within the next three months, will span 80 square meters and feature both a retail area and an open workshop. This interactive space will allow customers to take part in the crafting process by adding personal touches, such as initials or custom inscriptions. This concept is already successful in Cosmo’s Tbilisi and Batumi locations.

“The Telavi branch will offer a beautiful space with an open workshop experience, creating a unique and engaging environment for visitors. We’ve seen how well this model works in Batumi, and we’re excited to bring it to a new city,” Mukhulishvili noted.

The Telavi store will also support local employment, with plans to hire around 8 staff members from the area.

The investment for the new branch is expected to reach 500,000 GEL, marking a significant milestone in the brand's growth.

In addition to the Telavi expansion, Cosmo is preparing to open a new workshop in Tbilisi within the next two months. The workshop will offer the full range of the company’s services and further enhance its production capacity.

Founded 10 years ago, Cosmo has grown into a beloved Georgian brand known for its wide selection of handmade bags and accessories, with a portfolio that now includes over 150 products. The company currently operates 9 branches, including in Tbilisi, Batumi (2 branches), and Gori, and actively sells to international markets.
