Georgian Deputy Economy Minister Mariam Kvrivishvili and the Head of the Georgian National Tourism Administration Maia Omiadze on Thursday joined the Executive Council of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation in the Dominican Republic.
The officials met tourism ministers and leaders from governments with prospects of developing new cooperation, the GNTA said.
The Georgian delegation was also involved in thematic discussions within the Council session, with Kvrivishvili noting participants reviewed “global development” of the industry.
“At the same time, we had the opportunity to introduce to leaders of tourism industry the successful results that our country has in terms of the dynamics of post-pandemic tourism recovery,” the Deputy Minister added.
