According to GeoStat, in 2025 only 25.8% of enterprises in Georgia used at least one social media platform, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, or Pinterest. The vast majority, 74.2% of businesses, reported not using social media at all.
The data from the ICT usage survey shows that internet access is nearly universal among enterprises, with 94.9% reporting connectivity in 2025. Most companies (74.7%) relied on fixed broadband technologies such as fiber-optic (FTTH), cable, and DSL connections for internet access.
Despite high internet penetration, digital tool adoption remains limited in some areas. Only 35.5% of employees used company-provided portable devices like laptops or smartphones with internet access for work purposes. Meanwhile, just 15.3% of enterprises reported having an active website or web presence.
The figures highlight a significant gap between basic internet connectivity and more advanced digital engagement among Georgian businesses, particularly in social media and online visibility.
