The Georgian fast food brand "City Chicken" is going to go beyond the borders. As Zaza Gelashvili, the founder of the company, said in an interview with BMG, at first they are counting on the countries of the region, and then they are thinking about more distant markets as well.
As Gelashvili says, one of the goals of establishing the company was to turn the Georgian fast-food brand into an international company. For this, "City Chicken" is planning to switch to a franchising business model.
"After entering the regional market, we will take over the latest geographical areas, including European countries - Britain, Holland, France, fast food business is developed there, so we think that we will take our niche soon, "said the founder of City Chicken.
"City Chicken" has been operating in the local market for about three years. The company was established in 2019, but the pandemic has disrupted the start-up business. However, City Chicken currently has two restaurants across Tbilisi and offers customers fried, crispy chicken bars, wings, rolls and other products. "City Chicken" currently employs about 40 people.
