Growing up in Kobuleti on the Black Sea coast, Malkhaz Shubalidze, the founder of the company, was fascinated with watching fish since childhood. This enthusiasm began to rise after one unforgettable moment of tasting black caviar while traveling abroad. At that time, He saw the use of potential Georgia already had when there were not any black caviar or sturgeon breeding farms. That's how it became the national interest.

Building an intensive water supply farm, using modern equipment, and meeting all the European standards was the way filled with barriers to overcome. But following the unique purpose led to the creation of a comprehensive farm Georgian Fish and Caviar with a total area of about 4 hectares.

An ideal environment for the protection and preservation of endangered species and for making exceptionally delicious caviar in the Caucasus region.

How do farmers make it that piquant?

* Using one of the cleanest water sources in Georgia, The Kintrishi river, by building a farm on its site;

* Kintrishi water also provides natural nutrients, which are crucial to getting perfect caviar and having healthy fish;

* Feeding fish only with quality foods like Biomar, Skretting, and Coppens;

* They get raw anchovies, which are necessary for the female fish to get nutrients during the winter from Poti.

All the reasons mentioned above make the black and red caviar taste outstanding.

The fish milking process is also very complex and interesting. Professionally trained employees have to move fish from cold water to warm water to make them think it’s already summer. Once the water is changed fish are ready to spawn. They are fed a hormone derived from cobra brains to help them reproduce naturally. The farm does caviar extraction without bringing any damage to the fish and their organs. That's another noteworthy detail about this farm.

Because of loving the sea and understanding the challenging dangers of pollution and extinction, the farm is participating in the trout fishery of the native streams of the high mountain rivers of Adjara Soon, rivers from the Kobuleti and Guria will be added to this list.

The farm became the first one in history to observe the Colchic sturgeon and is working hard to enrich the aquaculture by bringing it from the wild. Even though creating an accurate habitat for it is critical, the farm has successfully bred 600 Colchian sturgeon specimens to date. They cooperate with the Batumi Aquarium for this occasion, based on a memorandum. The purpose is the creation and reproduction of the Colchis sturgeon.

As Malkhaz Shubalidze says, preserving and observing one of the most distinctive, rare, and endangered species will be his greatest achievement in this field.
