The Kakheti-based organic farm “Samkura” plans to increase its production by approximately 70% this year, according to founder Nika Bagalishvili. The expansion is largely linked to infrastructure growth, including the addition of three new greenhouses, which will increase the farm’s cultivated area from one to four hectares. Each greenhouse represents an investment of about 150,000 GEL.

Bagalishvili noted that the production increase is in response to strong market demand, with products selling quickly and without competition from imports. The farm also plans to expand its product range, introducing ginger cultivation this year on a trial basis.

In addition to production growth, Samkura opened its own retail space last year on Kavtaradze Street №35, offering fully organic products, including its own and other local farmers’ goods. For now, no additional retail locations are planned, and prices will remain the same as last year, ensuring continuity for customers.
