Cheese manufacturing company "Kalti" was opened this year in Lilo settlement in Tbilisi.

Nika Zautashvili, the founder of company "Kalti" declares that Georgian products have the potential to meet any standard of the world.

According to him, the company employs 21 people in total and produces 4 types of cheese.

"Cheese is sold in the local market, because the demand for dairy products from the local market is very high. We are waiting for the regulations to think about exporting.

As for production, due to the fact that we are a new company, we are increasing the volumes produced from month to month and we are mobilizing raw materials from local farmers," Zautashvili says.

For the arrangement and operation of the factory, the company participated in the co-financing program Enterprise Georgia and as a result invested USD 3 million. The farm, located on 4,000 square meters, combines office space, production and cold storage.

The founder of "Kalti" and "Mtevino" notes that the business development situation in Georgia is very good and it was not difficult for them to operate in the market.
