“We have record figures in passenger transportation. We have transported more than 3 million passengers in 2019 via the Georgian Railways”, David Peradze, general director of Georgian Railways said in an interview with Giorgi Isakadze, the CEO of Forbes Georgia.
Georgian Railway transferred about 2.8 million passengers in 2018. The number is increased by 7% in 2019.
As a result of the record number of passengers, revenue of Georgian Railways hit the record high. In 2019, this revenue increased to 31 million GEL, while the figure was 27 million GEL in 2018.
