We have not received a response from the state regarding the permits at this stage, – President of Georgian Retailers Association Luka Chelidze told TV-Program "Business Morning".

According to Chelidze, there is a demand for permits from the Association.

"Most of our member shops close already at 9 pm because the employees need to go home due to the imposed restrictions.
During the previous lockdown, we were not able to get permits as the number of non-chain retailers is quite large.

We have not received a response on the part of the permit from the state at this stage. The list is still large. It might be explained by the fact that the permits were used inappropriately during the previous quarantine.

Also, non-chain retailers have small delays in the delivery part due to our limited availability. Distribution companies can move after 10pm but cannot supply products because shops are closed after 10pm. We really have a problem," - said Chelidze.
