Levan Osepaishvili, director of Check-In Travel, says that when planning trips to Asia, Georgian travelers largely rely on travel companies, whereas solo bookings and self-planned trips are more common for European destinations. He shared this insight on BMGTV’s “Women’s Narrative.”
Osepaishvili explained that while independent bookings of flights and hotels have grown recently, this trend is minimal for Asia. Travel companies offer bundled tour packages at more competitive prices, making them the preferred choice for Asian travel. “Through our packages and partner network, we offer customers much better prices. That is why, unlike Europe, 70-80% of travelers to Asia rely on tour packages,” he noted.
The Check-In Travel director also highlighted the role of artificial intelligence in travel planning. “AI is actively used, but it cannot yet replace travel companies and staff. Professional advice, experience, and partner prices remain decisive, especially for remote or complex destinations like Asia,” Osepaishvili said.
He emphasized that travelers value expert guidance and cost advantages, which explain why organized tours dominate over self-booking for Asian trips among Georgian tourists.
