The founder of bio-organic winemaking "Papris Valley" declares, that wines are one of the most expensive in China, while Georgia has entered the cheap segment and the companies are making the second Russia in China.
Shalva Kurdadze, founder of "Papris Valley" notes, that the wine produced by them is sold in the premium segment in Hong Kong. The price is 300% higher compared to Russian prices.
"China is a very good market for premium wines, but unfortunately, Georgian wine has entered the low-price segment in China. China's beverage market is for premium and luxury products. It can be said China has saved French cognac and champagne. There is a boom in premium drinks.
While the most expensive wines are sold in China, we have entered the cheaper segment. We are making the second Russia in China. More attention is needed for small, exclusive wines, we have the opportunity to show unique wines to the world, I don't know why we get into such situations", Kurdadze said.
