Georgian Wine Exports Rise to $32.1 MLN in Two Months – Growth Mostly in Russia

In January–February 2026, Georgian wine exports showed positive momentum. After a decline last year, a total of 10,511,807 liters of wine worth $32.1 million were exported during the two-month period.

Wine exports increased by 9.5% year-on-year, with locally produced wine ranking seventh among exported goods, holding a 3.1% share of total exports.

The growth was primarily driven by Russia, where exports rose by 31.1%, with increases recorded in both January and February. Among the top 10 export destinations, exports increased in three countries, while they decreased in the other seven.

Top 10 export destinations for Georgian wine (Jan–Feb 2026):

  • Russia – $21 million, 7,226,542 liters
  • Poland – $2.7 million, 1,058,150 liters
  • Ukraine – $1.4 million, 504,670 liters
  • China – $1.1 million, 418,555 liters
  • Germany – $996,000, 220,444 liters
  • Latvia – $755,000, 201,593 liters
  • USA – $744,000, 124,896 liters
  • Kazakhstan – $480,000, 150,952 liters
  • Lithuania – $364,000, 103,059 liters
  • Belarus – $337,000, 114,804 liters

During this period, the average export price of Georgian wine remained stable at $3.05 per liter, consistent with the same period last year.
