The first Georgian wine salt brand, “Marila,” has expanded its product line by introducing a new truffle-infused salt. Founder Vakhtang Vatiashvili told BMGTV that the new product is made using Rkatsiteli wine and real black truffles, giving it a unique aroma and high gastronomic value. Marila’s range now includes seven varieties, using Mediterranean salt and premium Qvevri wines, without artificial flavors, preservatives, or colorants.
Alongside the truffle salt, the brand has also diversified its offerings with various dry spices, maintaining its focus on premium, natural ingredients. Vatiashvili emphasized that the truffle salt adds a rich and distinctive flavor profile, elevating it for culinary applications and gourmet use.
Marila is also actively pursuing international markets. The company will participate in Alimentaria, one of the largest global food exhibitions in Barcelona, Spain, with over 3,200 companies and more than 100,000 visitors. The brand will be featured under the “Enterprise Georgia” initiative and has already drawn interest from countries including the USA, Germany, and the UK, while its debut in Japan received positive feedback.
