Georgian Wine Was Promoted in 21 Countries Through 58 Exhibitions and 322 Tastings in 2025

In 2025, Georgian wine was presented in 21 countries through 58 exhibitions and festivals and 322 tasting seminars, as part of efforts to increase export potential and diversify international markets, according to the National Wine Agency of Georgia. These activities were conducted under the State Program for the Promotion of Georgian Wine, which had a budget of GEL 17.4 million for 2025.

The countries involved included the United States, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, China, Japan, Slovenia, the UK, Denmark, South Korea, Norway, Poland, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Finland, Brazil, Armenia, Canada, and Uzbekistan. Additionally, 18 wine tours were organized in Georgia for foreign professionals, including master sommeliers, experts, importers, HORECA sector representatives, and media, generating high interest in finding new local partners. These tours included participants from Germany, Japan, China, Poland, the UK, Sweden, Finland, and the U.S.

Domestically, the State Program organized 32 events, including 30 exhibitions and festivals and 2 competitions, aimed at promoting Georgian wine, enhancing wine tourism, and developing consumer culture.

Under the State Co-Financing Program for Marketing Expenses, nine Georgian wine companies received a total of GEL 692,969 in co-financing for participation in international exhibitions, tastings, and other promotional events. These activities helped boost exports to priority markets across America, Europe, and Asia, with co-financing available only to companies exporting to global markets outside the CIS countries.
