In January 2025, Georgia’s annual electricity generation declined by 21.4% to 924 GWh, - according to the report published by TBC Capital.

Electricity consumption also fell, decreasing by 4.5% year-over-year to 1,221 GWh. The balancing electricity price stood at 5.78 US cents per kWh, reflecting a marginal annual decline of 0.1%.

To meet demand, Georgia imported 335 GWh of electricity during the month
