Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze is expected to travel to Brussels in November to participate in an enlargement summit organized by Euronews on November 3. Meanwhile, the European Commission’s enlargement forum is scheduled to take place in the Belgian capital on November 15–16, where discussions are expected to include Georgia’s EU accession prospects. As in the previous year, the Georgian government has not been invited to the European Commission’s forum.

Against this backdrop, BM.GE has examined Georgia’s economic ties with Belgium, including bilateral trade, tourism, foreign direct investment and remittances.
