Gela Mghebrishvili, the managing partner of the international audit company Nexia Georgia declares, that there is no alternative to the European integration of Georgia.
In an interview with BMGTV, Gela Mgebrishvili talked about the benefits that EU membership will bring to the business:
"Foreign Direct Investments - I cannot imagine the active growth of the Georgian economy without FDI. If we want to reach an economy of average European size, we need at least double-digit economic growth. I believe that one of the benefits that European integration will bring to the country is the cheapening of financial resources. As you know, access to finance is very difficult for businesses, because financial resources are very expensive in Georgia. Thus, European integration will improve the country's image and a stable country will bring more foreign investments.
Imports of technologies and knowledge will give Georgian businesses a new pulse. European integration should not be stopped under any circumstances. It will definitely bring growth to the business. I believe that by going the European way, we can speed up the import of more knowledge.
Strengthening small business - European integration is the most critical factor for strengthening Georgian small businesses. This is the segment on which the entire European economy stands," said Gela Mghebrishvili.
