Georgia's income from electricity exports increased by 337%. According to the data of 7 months, the country received USD 64.78 million in income from the sale of electricity on the export markets. In 2021, this indicator was only USD 14.8 million. As a result, electricity is on 7th place in the top ten export-basket.
93% of exports account for Turkey. In particular, Turkey exported 630,992,000 kWh of electricity, the average price of 7 months was 9.5 cents per kWh.
According to the data of the "State Electricity System", in January-July, 1 billion 41 million kilowatt hours of electricity was exported from Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia to Turkey through Georgia.
