Georgia’s Interior Ministry Denies Reports of 20,000 Russian Arrivals via Larsi Border

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has issued a statement responding to reports circulating in media and on social networks claiming that 20,000 Russian citizens crossed the Georgian border via the Larsi checkpoint over the past 24 hours. The agency stated that these reports are untrue.

According to the Ministry, this information represents deliberate disinformation spread by certain interested parties.

"We clarify that according to data from the last 24 hours, 7,880 citizens of various countries crossed the state border of Georgia through the Larsi customs checkpoint. Additionally, during the same period, 8,406 citizens of various countries left the country through the same checkpoint. We call on all interested parties to refrain from spreading unverified information, as well as from circulating incorrect interpretations and distorted forms of various data," the Ministry's statement reads.
