Georgia’s imports of light electric transport are growing. In January-July 2026, the country imported 5,992 electric scooters, mopeds, motorcycles and bicycles worth $1.7 million.
According to Geostat data, import volumes increased by 1,801 units, or 43% year-on-year, while their value rose by $651,000, or 63%.
China remains the main supplier, accounting for around 70% of total imports. The top five suppliers in the first seven months were:
- China – 4,211 units ($1.03 million)
- Azerbaijan – 802 units ($76,000)
- Hong Kong – 762 units ($414,000)
- United Arab Emirates – 145 units ($35,000)
- Bulgaria – 31 units ($6,000).
