Georgia’s tourism sector generated $4.6 billion in revenue in 2025, marking a 4.9% increase compared to the previous year, - according to Galt & Taggart. Data from the investment bank’s weekly market update shows that in December 2025 alone, tourism revenue reached $280 million, up 5.3% year-on-year.
“Our forecast indicates that tourism revenue in 2026 will reach $4.9 billion,” the report notes.
The analysis also assessed the potential impact of the situation in Iran on Georgia’s tourism. Iranian visitors contributed 2.7% of total tourism revenue between January and September 2025, and given this relatively low dependency, Galt & Taggart expects that any prolonged instability in Iran would have a minimal effect on Georgia’s tourism sector.
