Geostat plans to calculate how much time is spent on vacation, cooking or child care. The National Statistics Office has already started to monitor how do women and men use their time.
Gogita Todradze, the head of the agency, told "Business Course" that the citizens will see the results of the research at the end of the year.
According to the head of Geostat, the project is supported by the UN Women and is carried out for the first time not only in Georgia but the whole region.
“The project involves collecting quantitative information about the time spent by men and women in cooking, child care, vacation and etc. This will be a valuable indicator for the production of gender statistics and the implementation of appropriate policies in this direction,"- said Gogita Todradze.
