Germany's economic sentiment in March decreased sharply to 13 points, down by 15.1 points from February, economic research center Zew announced.
It added that expectations are still in the positive territory, according to a press release on Tuesday.
Zew President Achim Wambach said international financial markets are under strong pressure, and noted that this level of uncertainty affected sentiment severely.
The report showed that sentiment for the euro area also worsened in March, dropping to 10 points, decreasing by 19.7 points.
