It is indeed noteworthy that Georgian diplomatic corps offered its hand of support to citizens of Georgia during the pandemic and we managed to return them to their homeland with our scarce resources. It was announced by Giorgi Gakharia, Prime Minister of Georgia when addressing the annual meeting engaging heads of overseas diplomatic missions of Georgia labelled as Conference of Ambassadors 2020 – Foreign Policy Priorities of Georgia within the Global Pandemic, New Challenges and Opportunities, held in an online format today.
The Head of Government of Georgia expressed his gratitude to diplomats for their endeavours in the fight against the pandemic throughout 2020.
“First of all, I wish to start by thanking you. My sincere gratitude to all of you primarily for what you did in the fight against the pandemic during 2020 by protecting the rights and health of our citizens, who happened to be in your countries of operation for one reason or another. Some were working, others getting medical treatment or studying. It is indeed noteworthy that Georgian diplomatic corps offered its hand of support to citizens of Georgia during the pandemic and we managed to return them to their homeland with our scarce resources. Trust me, each citizen of Georgia saw and appreciated it” stated Giorgi Gakharia.
