Davit Dolidze, Director of the Social Service Agency of Georgia, has been nominated to replace Givi Mikanadze as a member of the Georgian Parliament, following Mikanadze’s exclusion.
The Committee on Procedural Issues and Rules reviewed and supported the motion to recognize Dolidze's credentials. As Committee Chairman David Matikashvili explained, Dolidze was nominated under the party list of "Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia", and the Central Election Commission submitted all necessary documentation.
The Committee will now forward the recommendation to Parliament for final approval.
Dolidze’s name recently surfaced in media reports linked to a January 15 incident, where he and other City Hall employees reportedly confronted protesting citizens. While Tbilisi City Hall acknowledged the involvement of Social Welfare Agency staff, it denied that they initiated the conflict.
