Glampshop Ends 2025 With “Zero Sales”

Glampshop, a major importer and builder of glamping infrastructure in Georgia, ended 2025 with almost zero sales, marking one of the most difficult years in the company’s history. Founder Shalva Beridze noted that the business, which had shown steady growth in previous years, was pushed back to the activity levels of 2019, when glamping had just entered the local market.

According to Beridze, the primary reason for the downturn was the unstable political and economic environment. Frequent protests and broader political tensions negatively affected Georgia’s image and slowed tourism flows, causing both foreign visitors and potential clients to postpone plans.

He added that the election year increased uncertainty even further, prompting many investors to delay or cancel glamping-related projects. This combination of instability, weakened tourism, and hesitant investors resulted in the company recording “zero sales.”

Glampshop has operated in Georgia since 2018 and became an official importer and builder of glamping structures in 2020. Its business model combines importing units from China with partial local production, offering customers both basic and fully equipped sets along with installation and construction services.
