Rising global gold prices have led to higher jewelry prices in Georgia. Zarapkhana increased prices twice in 2025, resulting in a total annual increase of around 10%, the company told BM.GE.

According to Executive Director Tornike Samkharadze, the cost of raw gold has risen sharply, increasing by nearly 100 GEL per gram in recent months. He noted that 2025 was a record year for gold prices, creating serious challenges for manufacturing companies.

Zarapkhana first adjusted prices for selected collections in May, followed by a broader increase of about 5–6% across its full assortment in September. The company aimed to keep price hikes moderate to avoid discouraging customers.

By comparison, the price of one gram of pure gold rose from about 290 GEL in late July to 380–397 GEL recently. Internationally, gold prices have climbed 67% year-on-year in 2025, reaching roughly $4,330 per ounce.
