The hypermarket chain "Gorgia" plans to expand both domestically and internationally in 2026. According to CEO Tornike Guruli, five new branches will open across Georgia, including two in Tbilisi and three in other cities - Poti, Khashuri, and Gurjaani.
The company also intends to grow in Central Asia and the Gulf countries.
“In 2026, Gorgia will add at least five new branches, entering three completely new regions where we have not operated before. We will also expand in Tbilisi with at least two additional hypermarkets to increase our market coverage.
International expansion will also be a priority. Beyond the Caucasus, where we already have business in Armenia and Azerbaijan, we plan to enter Gulf countries and Central Asia. This will be a strategically important direction for us next year,” Guruli said.
He added that while it’s too early to disclose investment amounts, work is already underway for the new Poti branch, with additional openings planned in Khashuri and Gurjaani.
